Steven A. Wilson, B.S., NREMTP, CMO

Mr. Wilson comes to Emerge Public Safety with 18 years of emergency services experience. He has served the public through various career and volunteer roles throughout central Pennsylvania. Mr. Wilson brings a well balance of clinical, instructional, and leadership skills to Emerge.

Mr. Wilson is a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic functioning as a Flight Paramedic for Geisinger Life Flight based at University Park Airport, State College, PA. In addition, Mr. Wilson is employed at Susquehanna Health, Penn State EMS, and Evangelical Community Hospital as a Paramedic.

Mr. Wilson has operated as a Pre-hospital Field Supervisor and as the past Director of Susquehanna Pre-hospital Services. He participated in The Lycoming County Safe Schools Committee and The Little League World Series Safety Committee. In addition, he supervised the Non-Invasive Cardiology Department of the Susquehanna Heart and Vascular Center where successful accreditation was received for meeting clinical and operational standards by the ICAEL.

He attended the Pennsylvania College of Technology, graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree (cum laude) in Applied Health Studies. He is a graduate of the Williamsport Hospital and Medical Center Paramedic Training Institute.

Mr. Wilson is an adjunct instructor for the Pennsylvania College of Technology within the Paramedic Education Department. He has presented and provided students both clinical and didactic instruction. He is an adjunct instructor for Bucks County Community College delivering programs within the EMS, fire, and rescue disciplines.

Presently, Mr. Wilson serves as the Assistant Fire Chief at Montoursville Fire Department. He has successfully achieved various professional certifications. He is a Medical Specialist assigned to the PA Urban Search and Rescue Squad 2.

Mr. Wilson is a Pennsylvania Fire Instructor, EMT Instructor, Keystone Fire Instructor Affiliate Member, National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians-Paramedic, American Heart Association Instructor and National Fire Academy Alumni.

Mr. Wilson received the Dennis R. Daugherty Award in recognition of the highest field grade percentage among his paramedic class and the 2004 SHS Paramedic of the Year.
